Noticia sobre el fallecimiento del histórico pionero Huey ‘Piano’ Smith.
Nos llega otra triste noticia de un nuevo fallecimiento. El gran pionero Huey «Piano» Smith, cuyo sonido tanto influyó en el desarrollo del rock ‘n’ roll y del rhythm&blues, ha muerto a la edad de 89 años.
Entre sus muchas canciones son inolvidables «Rocking Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu», «Don’t You Just Know It», «Sea Cruise»… con versiones de artistas que las interpretaron como Flamin Groovies, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, Grateful Dead, Tom Jones, Paul Simon, Johnny Rivers, Jerry Lee Lewis, Herman’s Hermits, Boz Scaggs, Patti LaBelle, The Sonics, Dr. Feelgood, The Kingsmen…
